Mr. Pankiw (Saskatoon -- Humboldt), seconded by Mr. Gilmour (Nanaimo -- Alberni), moved Motion No. 1, -- That Bill C-21, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing line 13 on page 1 with the following:

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Bertrand (Pontiac -- Gatineau -- Labelle), seconded by Mr. Patry (Pierrefonds -- Dollard), Bill C-376, An Act to amend the National Defence Act and to make related amendments to other Acts (Department of Defence), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
