The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 11:15 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 269, West Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Gérard Asselin, Gilles Bernier, Gerry Byrne, David Chatters, Roy Cullen, Raymonde Folco, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Yvon Godin, Jim Gouk, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, Carmen Provenzano, Ben Serré, Brent St. Denis, Darrel Stinson and Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change: Jim Bruce, Member, Working Group No. 3. From Passmore Associates International: Jeff Passmore, President.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), an examination of issues surrounding the Kyoto Conference on Climate Change.
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 1:00 p.m., the Committee proceeded to sit in camera to study its future business.
At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
