The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 9:08 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, for the purpose of organization.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Gilles Bernier, Gerry Byrne, David Chatters, Roy Cullen, John Duncan, Christiane Gagnon, Yvon Godin, Tony Ianno, Beth Phinney, Werner Schmidt, Brent St. Denis.
Acting Members present: René Canuel for Pierre de Savoye, Marlene Catterall for Benoît Serré; John Finlay for Carmen Provenzano; John O'Reilly for Carolyn Parrish.
Associate Member present: Cliff Breitkreuz.
Other Member: Rob Anders.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages; Jack Stilborn, Research Officers.
The Clerk presided over the election of the Chair of the Committee.
John O'Reilly moved, - That Brent St. Denis do take the Chair of this Committee as Chair.
The question being put on the motion, it carried as follows:
