(Meeting No. 3)

Thursday, October 23, 1997

The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met in camera at 11:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 371, West Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Gérard Asselin, Gilles Bernier, David Chatters, Roy Cullen, Raymonde Folco, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Yvon Godin, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, Carmen Provenzano, Ben Serré, Brent St. Denis and Bob Wood.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: : Jean-Luc Bourdages and Jack Stilborn, Research Officers.

The Committee considered its future business.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), the Committee considered the Third Report of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources, presented to the House during the Thirty-Fifth Parliament entitled "Think Rural" and concurred in the findings of this report.

At 11:45 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
