Meeting No. 78

Thursday, May 27, 1999

The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Yvan Bernier, Claude Drouin, Wayne Easter, Charles Hubbard, Gar Knutson, Bill Matthews, Carmen Provenzano, Peter Stoffer.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Office Researcher.

Witnesses: From the Fisheries Resource Conservation Council: Fred Woodman, Chairman; Dr. George Rose, Council Member; Dr. Dan Lane, Council Member; Chris J. Allen, A/Executive Director.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of Sealing Issues.

Fred Woodman made an opening statement and with the other witnesses answered question.

At 11:04 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
