Meeting No. 76

Tuesday, May 11, 1999

The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera at 9:12 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Yvan Bernier, Claude Drouin, Charles Hubbard, Gar Knutson, Gary Lunn, Bill Matthews, Carmen Provenzano, Lou Sekora, Peter Stoffer.

Acting Members present: Raymonde Folco for Wayne Easter.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of Sealing Issues.

It was agreed, to invite the Fisheries Resource Conservation Council together with witnesses from the 3K Small Boat Action Committee and the Inshore Commercial Fisheries Group in the area of 2J3KL to appear on Thursday, May 27, 1999.

At 10:15 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
