WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1997

The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development met at 5:34 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building , the Chair, Charles Caccia, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Charles Caccia, Rick Casson, Joe Jordan, Gar Knutson, Karen Kraft Sloan, Rick Laliberté, David Pratt.

Other Member present: Clifford Lincoln.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Bill Murray, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From Toronto Atmospheric Fund: Lois Corbett, Executive Director; Ralph Torrie, Torrie Smith Associates.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its consideration of climate change issues in relation to Canadian preparations for the Conference of the Parties on the U.N. Convention on Climate Change (See Minutes of Proceedings, dated Thursday, October 23, 1997, Meeting no. 6).

The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.

At 6:13 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
