Thursday, February 25, 1999

The Sub-Committee of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 9:15 a.m. this day, in La Salle Jean-Desprez, La Maison de Radio-Canada, Montreal, Quebec, the Chair, Inky Mark, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: John Godfrey, Clifford Lincoln, Inky Mark and Suzanne Tremblay.

In attendance: From Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gaston Blais, Researcher.

Roundtable Participants: From the «Association québécoise de l'industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la vidéo» (ADISQ): Robert Pilon, Vice-President, Public Affairs. From Just for Laughs Festival: Gilbert Rozon, President and Founder. From the «Grand ballets canadiens»: Alain Dancyger. From the «L'Équipe Spectra»: André Ménard, First Vice-President and Art Director; From the «Réseau d'événements majeurs internationaux» (REMI): Pierre-Marc Johnson, President. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Consideration of a Canadian Cultural Policy.

The Chair made opening remarks and with the participants and members proceeded to a round table discussion.

At 11:10 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
