Meeting No. 105

Thursday, June 10, 1999

The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 11:40 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Sarmite Bulte, Maurice Dumas, Wendy Lill, Clifford Lincoln, Inky Mark, Mark Muise.

Acting Member present: Suzanne Tremblay for Caroline St-Hilaire.

Other Member present: Lynn Myers.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Joseph Jackson, Researcher.

Witnesses: From the National Arts Centre: David S.R. Leighton, Chair of the Board of Trustees and Elaine Calder, Interim Director and CEO.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Consideration of the National Arts Centre Corporation.

David Leighton and Elaine Calder made opening statements and answered questions.

At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
