On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the committee adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on the destabilizing impacts of the Wagner Group, the Russian paramilitary organization and de facto private army of Vladimir Putin; their role in global conflicts, including in Ukraine, Mali and Syria; the allegations of war crimes and human rights abuses where they have been deployed and their impacts on democratic back-sliding; that the committee hold no fewer than four meetings; and that pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.
