CIMM Rapport du Comité

On Tuesday, March 22, 2005 and pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee adopted the following motion:

The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration requests the following:

1. That the Department of Citizenship and Immigration provide the Committee with a detailed, step-by-step, explanation of the process that results in specific targets being set for each immigration processing post at each visa office. This explanation shall identify the persons who are significant intervening in this process, including public servants with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration. All individuals who have been involved in this process within the previous eight (8) months who are not public servants with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration shall be identified by name.

2. That the Privy Council Office provide the Committee with a detailed, step-by-step, explanation of the process that results in specific targets being set for each immigration processing post at each visa office. This explanation shall identify the persons who are significant intervening in this process, including all persons not employed with the Privy Council Office. All individuals who have been involved in this process within the previous eight (8) months who are not employees of the Privy Council Office or the Department of Citizenship and Immigration shall be identified by name.

Le mardi 22 mars 2005 et conformément à l'article 108(2), le Comité a adopté la motion suivante :

Le Comité permanent de la citoyenneté et de l’immigration présente les demandes suivantes :

1. Que Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada fournisse au Comité une explication détaillée, étape par étape, du processus qui mène à l’établissement de cibles précises pour chaque bureau chargé du traitement des demandes d’immigration à chaque bureau des visas. Il faudra y préciser les divers intervenants, notamment les fonctionnaires du Ministère. Il faudra également nommer toutes les personnes étrangères au ministère qui auront participé au processus au cours des huit (8) derniers mois.

2. Que le Bureau du Conseil privé fournisse au Comité une explication détaillée, étape par étape, du processus qui mène à l’établissement de cibles précises pour chaque bureau chargé du traitement des demandes d’immigration à chaque bureau des visas. Il faudra préciser les divers intervenants, notamment les personnes étrangères au Bureau du Conseil privé. Il faudra également nommer toutes les personnes qui auront participé au processus au cours des huit (8) derniers mois qui ne sont employées ni par le Bureau du Conseil privé ni par Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada.
