Pursuant to the order of reference of Friday, February 10, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario 2022.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 10:26 a.m., Marie-Hélène Gaudreau took the Chair.

At 10:29 a.m., Bardish Chagger took the Chair.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Report on the Report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for the Province of Ontario, 2022".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the reports of the federal electoral boundaries commissions for Ontario 2022, and pursuant to subsection 22(1) of the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act, the committee report to the House to request extensions to the 30-day period for consideration of the reports and that the committee request the deadlines be extended to Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $64,800, for the study of the question of privilege related to the intimidation campaign against the member for Wellington—Halton Hills and other members, be adopted.

At 10:57 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:05 a.m., the sitting resumed.
