The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Second Report of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, as amended, which reads as follows, be adopted.

Your Subcommittee met on Thursday, June 13, 2024 to review the committee's work and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the committee allocate a minimum of twelve meetings to the study of the education continuum in the minority language.

2. That the committee approve the list of witnesses submitted as part of its study of the education continuum in the minority language, subject to changes being submitted by the parties by October 31, 2024.

3. That the committee Chair write a letter to the 13 provincial and territorial governments inviting them to submit a brief, not exceeding five pages, as part of the study of the education continuum in the minority language by December 31, 2024.

4. That the committee send a questionnaire to school boards or their representatives, in order to gather comparable information on the minority-language education continuum, and that the questionnaire be completed and submitted to the Clerk of the committee.

5. That the testimony and documents gathered by the committee for its study on federal funding for minority-language post-secondary institutions be included in the report on the study of the education continuum in the minority language.

It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, September 19, 2024, committee members be invited to submit their drafting instructions for the draft report on Federal Funding for Minority-Language Post-Secondary Institutions.

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, committee members be invited to submit their draft recommendations for the draft report on Federal Funding for Minority Language Post-Secondary Institutions.

At 12:06 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:16 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the committee resumed its study of economic development of official language minority communities.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 12:20 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:22 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
