Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, April 24, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-27, An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts.

Diane Poitras, Diane McLeod and Michael McEvoy each made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 7,250, for the study on the recent investigation and reports on Sustainable Development Technology Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 7,250, for the study on the use of foreign workers at the EV battery manufacturing facility in Windsor, Ontario, be adopted.
