Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the committee resumed its study of tax revenues from businesses on First Nations Territories.

Grand Chief Joel Abram and Dr. Jacqueline Ottmann made statements and answered questions.

At 12:09 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:14 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Grand Chief Ken Kyikavichik made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:43 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:50 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee devote it’s meetings on June 12, 17 and 19 to bill C-61, and resume the study on Tax Revenues from Businesses on First Nations Territories in the Fall.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
