Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, June 2, 2023, the committee resumed its study of Canada Summer Jobs wage subsidy program.

Brent Shepherd, Tracey Randall, Devon Jones, and Christopher Emmanuel made statements and answered questions.

At 5:58 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:04 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Sean Ferris, Shawna Akerman and Gord Pederson made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages and the Minister of Labour and Seniors be invited to appear before the committee in relation to the study of the implications of artificial intelligence technologies for the Canadian labor force.

At 7:14 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
