The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 3:41 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:43 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 56,650.00, for the study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada, department officials be invited to appear for two hours on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

It was agreed, — That the committee review the proposed workplan for the study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada on Monday, February 5, 2024.

It was agreed, — That the meetings of Monday, February 12, and Thursday, February 15, 2024, be dedicated to the committee’s study of women’s health.

It was agreed, — That the meetings of Monday, February 26, and Thursday, February 29, 2024, be dedicated to the committee’s study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a draft budget respecting the committee's proposed international travel, in relation to its study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada, for consideration by the committee.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a draft budget respecting the committee's proposed domestic travel, in relation to its study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada, for consideration by the committee.
