Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a vice-chair.

On motion of Tom Kmiec, it was agreed, — That Brad Redekopp be elected First Vice-Chair of the committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee resumed its study of application backlogs and processing times.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:15, pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), the sitting was suspended.

At 5:07, the sitting resumed.

The witnesses answered questions.

ORDERED, — That in relation to the study of application backlog and processing times, the Chair be instructed to prepare the proposed preliminary submission for the committee’s travel to the United Arab Emirates and Senegal in January 2023..

At 5:50 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
