Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the committee on Monday, February 12, 2024 and on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the committee commenced its study of pension transferability and access to Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF), and delays in permanent residence and visas for Hong Kongers.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $5,000, for the study of pension transferability and access to Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF), and delays in permanent residence and visas for Hong Kongers, be adopted.

Andy Wong, Aileen Calverley and Mabel Tung made statements and answered questions.

At 12:09 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:16 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Laura Hewitt and MaryScott Greenwood made statements and answered questions.

At 12:41 p.m., Brad Redekopp took the Chair.

At 12:48 p.m., Sukh Dhaliwal took the Chair.
