Minutes of Proceedings
Kevin (Sammy) Sampson made a statement and answered questions.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 38,600, for the study of the recognition of Persian Gulf Veterans and reviewing of: (a) the definition of “war”, “wartime service”, and “special duty service”; and (b) the difference, the process of determining, and criteria for Veteran’s benefits, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,750, for the study of the adequacy of compensation for pain and suffering, be adopted.
At 12:19 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 12:27 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.
The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.
At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
