Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 2, 2020, the committee commenced its study of businesses owned by underrepresented groups.

Jessica Sultan and Lorenzo Ieraci made statements and, with Clinton Lawrence-Whyte, answered questions.

At 5:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:20 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, the witnesses in the first panel of the fifth meeting of the draft work plan be removed.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, the witnesses received after the deadline be included in the draft work plan.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, the draft work plan, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the Main Estimates 2021-22, and its study of the Departmental Plans, Main Estimates 2021-22, the Minister of Public Services and Procurement be invited to appear before the committee during the week of May 17-21, 2021.

It was agreed, — That, if they are tabled and referred to the committee, the committee undertake a study of the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2021-22, and invite the President of the Treasury Board, the Minister of Public Services and Procurement and the Minister of Digital Government to appear.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, in conjunction with clerk and analysts, continue to set the schedule for the meetings of the committee.

At 5:50 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
