Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 29, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the granting of arms export permits, with a particular focus on permits granted for exports to Turkey.

Bruce Christie made a statement and, with Sandra McCardell, answered questions.

Motion

Jack Harris moved, — That the committee render public the documents provided to date by Global Affairs Canada, pursuant to the order for the production of papers adopted on October 29, 2020; and reserves the right to be granted unfettered access to the unredacted documents upon request to officials at Global Affairs Canada in accordance with the motion.

Debate arose thereon.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, debate on the motion be deferred until 5:20 p.m.

At 4:37 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Bessma Momani, Chris Kilford, and Christian Leuprecht made statements and answered questions.

By unanimous consent, after debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
