On motion of Karen McCrimmon, it was agreed, — That Peter Fonseca be elected Chair of the subcommittee.
At 3:05 p.m., Peter Fonseca took the Chair.
It was agreed, — That the subcommittee meet on Monday, July 20 and Tuesday July 21 in order to consider the human rights situation of the Uyghurs.
It was agreed, — That the subcommittee hold three two-hour panels on each of these days, and that should there be more than three witnesses per panel, the witnesses be given 6 minutes for an opening statement.
It was agreed, — That witness lists be provided to the clerk of the subcommittee no later than Monday, July 13, 2020 at 5 p.m..
It was agreed, — That the subcommittee put out a call for briefs regarding the human rights situation of the Uyghurs, and that the call be promoted on social media, and that the Subcommittee also accept anonymous briefs.
It was agreed, — That the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development be invited to submit a written statement on the human rights situation of the Uyghurs.
