The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $5,750, for the study of Canadian response to the COVID-19 pandemic, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $2,175, for the study of the Investment Canada Act, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $1,250, for the study of front-line grocery store workers, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee hold meetings on the following dates and times: Friday, July 10, 2020 (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.), Monday, August 10, 2020 (11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.), Friday, August 14, 2020 (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.), Monday, August 24, 2020 (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) and Friday, August 28, 2020 (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.).

Pursuant to the order of reference of Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 20, 2020, the committee resumed its study of fraud calls in Canada.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 12:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:34 p.m., the sitting resumed in a public and webcast session.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, June 18, 2020, the committee commenced its study of front-line grocery store workers.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
