The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the analysts, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a letter to be sent to Marta Morgan, Deputy Minister, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, on behalf of the Committee, with regard to the Department's response to Recommendation 6 in Report 15 - Report 2, Detecting and Preventing Fraud in the Citizenship Program, of the Spring 2016 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the analysts prepare a communique for the Committee's approval, requesting clarification and the rational for a delay of one fiscal year from the Canada Revenue Agency with regard to the response to Recommendation 5 of Report 25 - Report 2, Income Tax Objections, of the Fall 2016 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the analysts, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a letter to be sent to Andrew Hayes, Senior General Counsel, Office of the Auditor General of Canada, and Paul Shuttle, Counsel to the Clerk to the Privy Counsel, encouraging them to continue their dialogue to resolve the issue of access to documents.

It was agreed, — That the Committee not sit on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the Committee resumed consideration of Report 1, Phoenix Pay Problems, of the Fall 2017 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 4:49 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:51 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
