Bill C-233, An Act respecting a national strategy for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, June 8, 2016, your Committee has considered Bill C-233, An Act respecting a national strategy for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and agreed on Thursday, November 24, 2016 to report it with the following amendments:
Preamble

That Bill C-233, in the preamble, be amended by replacing lines 6 and 7 on page 1 with the following:

“Whereas Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia erode an individual's independence and eventually cause death;”

Clause 3

That Bill C-233, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing lines 19 and 20 on page 3 with the following:

“the Alzheimer Society of Canada, other Alzheimer advocacy groups, and other dementia advocacy groups, for the purpose of developing the national”

Clause 4

That Bill C-233, in Clause 4, be amended by replacing lines 5 and 6 on page 4 with the following::

“(b) representatives from Alzheimer advocacy groups and other dementia advocacy groups;”

Your Committee has ordered a reprint of Bill C-233, as amended, as a working copy for the use of the House of Commons at the report stage.
A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 31 and 32) is tabled.
