Election of Chair
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(1), the committee met for the purpose of electing a Chair. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the Clerk of the Committee presided over the election of a Chair.

Motion

Karen Vecchio moved, — That Rachael Harder be elected Chair of the Committee.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Rachael Harder, Martin Shields, Karen Vecchio — 3;

NAYS: Pam Damoff, Sean Fraser, Bernadette Jordan, Emmanuella Lambropoulos, Sheila Malcolmson, Eva Nassif, Marc Serré — 7.

Motion

Pam Damoff moved, — That Karen Vecchio be elected Chair of the Committee.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 7; NAYS: 3.

At 11:03 a.m., Karen Vecchio took the Chair.

At 11:03 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
