Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of violence against young women and girls in Canada.

Linda Savoie and Yvan Clermont made statements and, with Justine Akman, Rebecca Kong and Samuel Perreault, answered questions.

At 4:26 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:27 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

On motion of Anita Vandenbeld, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $38,950, for the study of violence against young women and girls in Canada, be adopted.

At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
