At 11:39 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:40 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Committee’s travel to Beijing and Hong Kong, China, Hanoi, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia, the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare news releases for publication on the Committee’s website and for distribution via the Canadian newswire service, before, during and after the trip and that the Committee adopts a service contract budget in the amount of $2000.00 to pay for related costs.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion concerning the Committee’s travel budget to Beijing and Hong Kong, China, Hanoi, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia, adopted by the Committee on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the Committee be authorized to provide hospitality, working meals and gifts, as deemed appropriate, during the trip.
It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 8,500.00, for the study of Bill C-47, An Act to amend the Export and Import Permits Act and the Criminal Code (amendments permitting the access to the Arms Trade Treaty and other amendments), be adopted.
It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 5,000.00, for the hospitality, be adopted.
At 11:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:58 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

At 1:00 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
