Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, April 14, 2016, and section 20 of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act and the Special Economic Measures Act.

Mark Glauser made a statement and, with Hugh Adsett, Alison LeClaire, Marc-Yves Bertin and Sarah Taylor, answered questions.

At 5:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of the situation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia 25 years after the end of the Cold War, the proposed budget in the amount of $168,473.25, for the Committee’s travel to Kiev, Ukraine; Astana, Kazakhstan; Riga, Latvia; and Warsaw, Poland in the Winter-Spring of 2017, be adopted.

At 5:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
