Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Privacy Act.

Michael Karanicolas and Vincent Gogolek made statements and answered questions.

On motion of Daniel Blaikie, it was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

At 12:42 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:43 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of the Privacy Act, the Committee invite the Privacy Commissioner to appear on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of the Privacy Act, the Committee invite the Minister of Justice and the President of the Treasury Board to appear on Thursday, November 24, 2016.

At 1:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
