Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 1, 2018, the Committee commenced its study of clean growth and climate change in Canada: international leadership.

Isabelle Bérard and Anar Mamdani made statements and answered questions.

Mark Warawa gave notice of the following motion:

That, the Standing Committee on the Environment and Sustainable Development undertake a study of no less than two meetings on the deceptive emissions tests from the auto manufacturer Volkswagen and call on Volkswagen officials to testify, as well as officials from Environment Canada and any other government department the Committee sees fit to invite, and that the Committee make recommendations to the government.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 4:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Judy O'Leary and Laura Sacks made statements and answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
