Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the Committee resume its Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Public Consultation

Perry Bellegarde, John Weinstein, Pamela Palmater and Troy Hunter, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, made statements and, with William David, answered questions.

At 10:15 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 18, 2016 the Committee resumed its study of the Softwood Lumber Agreement between Canada and the United States.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Softwood Lumber Agreement between Canada and the United States".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, line spacing of 1 and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the deadline for written submissions on the topic of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) consultation be extended to October 31, 2016, 23:59 EDT.

At 10:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
