Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 26, 2017, and Monday, February 5, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of the role of food inspection agencies in the context of free trade agreements.

Fred Gorrell made a statement and, with Frédéric Seppey and Jay Allen, answered questions.

At 4:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the text submitted to present the study entitled Advancements of technology and research in the agriculture industry that can support Canadian exports, be adopted.

At 5:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
