The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 11:33 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:35 a.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the First Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in as amended:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee invite at its next meeting a representative of the Department of Veterans Affairs in relation to its study on the Supplementary Estimates (C) for 2015-16 referred to the Committee on Friday, February 19, 2016.

That, pursuant to Standing Order 111(4), the request be made to obtain the curriculum vitae of the appointees nominated in the Orders in Council referred to the Committee on Monday, December 7, 2015.

That, pursuant to Standing Order 81(4) and 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs to appear at his earliest convenience in relation to its studies on the Main Estimates 2016-17 and his Ministerial mandate.

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertake a study examining the service delivery to veterans by the Department of Veterans Affairs, including the issue of mental health.

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertake a study examining past recommendations made to the Department of Veterans Affairs to determine their level of implementation.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite at its next meeting a representative of the Department of Veterans Affairs in relation to its study on service delivery to veterans by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study on service delivery to veterans, the Veterans Ombudsman be invited to appear before the Committee on Thursday, March 10, 2016.

At 12:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
