The Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities met in camera at 11:03 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Larry Miller, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Peter Braid, Ed Komarnicki, Hoang Mai, David J. McGuinty, Larry Miller, Mike Sullivan, Jeff Watson, Wai Young and David Yurdiga.

 

Acting Members present: Anne-Marie Day for Isabelle Morin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Zachary Alaoui, Analyst; Allison Padova, Analyst. House of Commons: David Chandonnet, Procedural Clerk.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Second Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Thursday, December 4, 2014, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Monday, December 2, 2013, the hearings in relation to the Review of the Canadian Transportation Safety Regime be completed without dedicating two meetings on international jurisdictions.

2. That the drafting instructions for the final report in relation to the Review of the Canadian Transportation Safety Regime be given to the analysts at the meeting of Tuesday, December 9, 2014.

3. That the Chair call a meeting of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure at the first and earliest opportunity in 2015 to consider the future business of the Committee.

4. That, following the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure in 2015, the Committee consider a draft final report in relation to the Review of the Canadian Transportation Safety Regime during up to eight meetings.

 
The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
 

At 11:28 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
