Good afternoon, honourable members of the committee.

    I see a quorum.

[English]

I am ready to receive motions for the election of the chairman.
    I nominate Bruce Stanton.
I propose Bruce Stanton as the chair. Let's go.
It has been moved that Mr. Stanton be elected chair of the committee.

[Translation]

    Thank you for your support,

[English]

for what promises to be another busy session for this committee.
I thank our clerk, Graeme, for his able stewardship of the election of the chair and vice-chairs.
I also congratulate Mr. Russell and Madam Crowder for continuing as the vice-chairs of this committee.
As you know, members, there is no other business today, but I will take this time to give you an indication that next week we'll be into our regular program. Our times, of course, are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from 3:30 to 5:30.
Our Tuesday meeting will consist of committee business. You already have received notice of one motion. There will be a second one. The clerk has received a notice of a second motion that we'll be putting on the agenda for that day as well. You'll probably receive that later today or tomorrow, once it's finished translation.
I'll also tell you that on Thursday, as members will know, the government is looking to get supplementary estimates (C) through the committee stage, so we'll be planning for the supplementary estimates (C) on Thursday of next week.
Finally, the subcommittee will plan to meet after we finish committee business on Tuesday afternoon, March 16. Once we finish committee business, we'll ask the subcommittee members to stay and we'll carry on in the subcommittee, hoping to then report out to the full committee on Thursday, March 18.

  (1535)

    Thanks, Mr. Chair.
I'll move the motion to adjourn the meeting.
That's a brilliant idea, Mr. Dhaliwal. I thank you for that wonderful intervention.
    The meeting is adjourned.
    Merci beaucoup.
