The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Paul Calandra, Jacques Gourde, Martha Hall Findlay, Derek Lee, Pat Martin, Hon. Dan McTeague, Jean-Yves Roy and Chris Warkentin.

 

Associate Members present: Cheryl Gallant.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lydia Scratch, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Department of Public Works and Government Services: Liliane saint pierre, Assistant Deputy Minister, Acquisitions Branch; Normand Masse, Director General, Services and Specialized Acquisitions Management Sector, Acquisition Branch; Shereen Miller, Director General, Small and Medium Enterprises Sector, Acquisitions Branch; John Rath-Wilson, Acting Chief Operating Officer, Information Technology Services Branch - Office of the Chief Executive Officer. Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Gilles Gauthier, Director General, Multilateral Trade Policy; Dany Carriere, Deputy Director, Investment Trade Policy. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motions adopted by the Committee on February 5 and 10, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of the federal government's procurement processes.
 

Liliane saint pierre, Normand Masse, Gilles Gauthier and Greg Rapier made a statement and, with Shereen Miller and John Rath-Wilson, answered questions.

 

At 1:06 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
