The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 11:12 a.m. in a video recorded session this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Colin Mayes, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Hon. Larry Bagnell, Steven Blaney, Rod Bruinooge, Jean Crowder, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Marc Lemay, Yvon Lévesque, Colin Mayes, Hon. Anita Neville, Todd Norman Russell and Brian Storseth.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mary Hurley, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development : Claire Dansereau, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Socio-economic Policy and Regional Operations; Fred Caron, Assistant Deputy Minister, Office of the Federal Interlocutor; Marc Brooks, Director General, Community Development Branch. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation: Sharon Matthews, Vice-President, Assisted Housing; Deborah Taylor, Director, Aboriginal Housing. Department of Health: Ian Potter, Assistant Deputy Minister, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on November 7, 2006, the Committee resumed its study on Aboriginal Housing.
 

Claire Dansereau, Sharon Matthews and Ian Potter made opening statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee discuss future business at Thursday's meeting.

 

At 12:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
