Wednesday, March 26, 2003

The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in a televised session at 7:40 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present:  Peter Adams, Rodger Cuzner, Yvon Godin, Lynn Myers, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan and Jacques Saada.

Acting Members present:  Ken Epp for Dale Johnston.

In attendance:  From the Library of Parliament:  James Robertson, Principal; Margaret Young, Research Officer.

Witnesses:  From the House of Commons:  Alexa McDonough, Halifax; Gerald Keddy, South Shore; Reg Alcock, Winnipeg South; John Finlay, Oxford.

Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee resumed consideration of matters related to the inclusion of a code of conduct in the Standing Orders of the House.

Pursuant to Order made Tuesday, February 25, 2003, the Committee received Members’ views on the preliminary draft report.

At 8:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
