Wednesday, May 9, 2001

The Sub-Committee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 6:34 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Beth Phinney, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Eugène Bellemare, Beth Phinney, Svend Robinson.

Other Parliamentarian Members present: Hon. Raynell Andreychuk, Senator, Bill Graham, Keith Martin, Maurice Vellacott.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Lee, Research Officer.

The Sub-Committee proceeded to consideration of its future business and a potential study of Sudan.

Keith Martin made a statement.

Senator Raynell Andreychuk Senator, made a statement.

Maurice Vellacott made a statement.

Svend Robinson made a statement.

At 7:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
