MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 6

Monday, May 7, 2001

The Special Committee on the Modernization and Improvement of the Procedures of the House of Commons met in camera at 4:12 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Bob Kilger, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Bill Blaikie, Don Boudria, Michel Gauthier, Bob Kilger, Peter MacKay and John Reynolds.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Researcher.

In accordance with the Order of Reference from the House dated March 21, 2001, the Committee resumed consideration of its study of the modernization and improvement of the procedures of the House of Commons (See Minutes of Proceedings, dated Tuesday, March 27, 2001, Meeting No. 2).

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of its future business.

It was agreed, - That the Committee meet from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2001 and that a working meal be provided.

At 6:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
