The
Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons
with Disabilities met at 11:45 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the
Acting Chair, Diane St-Jacques, presiding.
Members of the Committee
present: Eugène
Bellemare, Raymonde Folco, Monique Guay, Dale Johnston, Gurbax Malhi, Joe
McGuire, Carol Skelton and Diane St-Jacques.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament:
Kevin Kerr and Julie Mackenzie, Research Officers.
Witness(es): From the University of
Saskatchewan: Kathy Gray, Director of Employee Services, Human Resources
Division. From the Canada's Association for the Fifty-Plus: William
Gleberzon, Executive Director; Rolf Calhoun, Ottawa Representative.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference dated December 3rd, 2001 and to
section 44 of the Employment Equity Act, the Committee resumed consideration of
the statutory review of the Act (See minutes of Proceedings of December11,
2001 – Meeting No.44)
