Meeting No. 7

Wednesday, May 10, 2000

The Sub-Committee on Private Members' Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Larry McCormick, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Bill Blaikie, David Chatters, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Joe Jordan and Larry McCormick.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Research Officer.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs adopted on March 2, 2000, the Sub-Committee considered a summary of Members' responses to a letter regarding the order of precedence items supported by 100 members (Standing Order 87(6)).

It was agreed, - That the Research Officer analyze the summary of Members' responses.

It was agreed, - That a draft report be written.

At 4:25 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
