MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 3

Tuesday, May 30, 2000

The Sub-Committee on Aquaculture and Oceans Act of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans. met at 10:17 a.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Carmen Provenzano, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Yvan Bernier (by teleconference), Bill Gilmour, Carmen Provenzano, Gerald Keddy.

Other Member present: John Cummins.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

It was agreed, - That the dates to travel to Quebec, New Brunswick, Maine, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Labrador and P.E.I. to continue their comprehensive study on Aquaculture, their statutory review of the Oceans Act and fisheries issues be October 15th to the 25th, 2000.

At 10:41 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
