MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 1997 The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met at 3:42 o’clock p.m. this day, Room 253-D, Centre Block, for the purpose of electing a Chair and a Vice-Chair, pursuant to Standing Orders 106(1) et 106(2). Jack Ramsay moved,--That Shaughnessy Cohen do take the Chair of this Committee. The question being put on the motion, it was agreed to. Shaughnessy Cohen took the Chair. On motion of Paul DeVillers, it was agreed,--That John Maloney be elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.
On motion of Bob Speller, it was agreed,--That Paul E. Forseth be elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.
