MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 38

TUESDAY, April 28, 1998

The Standing Committee on Health met at 9:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, Elinor Caplan, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Lynn Myers, Joseph Volpe, Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller-Chenier, Research Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee heard from the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board.

Witnesses: From the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board: Dr. Robert Goldwin Elgie, Chairperson; Réal Sureau, Vice-Chairperson; Judith L. Glennie, Clinical Pharmacist; Wayne D. Critchley, Executive Director.

Dr. Robert G. Elgie made an opening statement and with the other witnesses answered questions.

At 10:25 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
