Thursday, February 25, 1999

The Sub-Committee of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in La Salle Jean-Desprez, La Maison de Radio-Canada, Montreal, Quebec, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: John Godfrey, Clifford Lincoln, Inky Mark and Suzanne Tremblay.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gaston Blais, Researcher.

Roundtable Participants: From the Canadian Centre for Architecture: Nancy Dunton, Chief, Programming Universities and Professional. From the "Conseil québécois du patrimoine vivant": Gilles Garand, President. From the ICOM-Canada: Johanne Landry, President. From the McCord Museum: Victoria Dickenson. From the Saidye Bronfman Centre of Arts: David Liss, Director. From the "Société des directeurs des musées montréalais": Francine Lelièvre, President. From the "Société des musées québécois": Michel Perron, General Director; Hélène Pagé, President. From the Heritage Montreal Foundation: Dinu Bumbaru, Programs Director. The Chair made opening remarks and with the participants and members proceeded to a round table discussion and invited comments from the audience.

At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
