M-500 Invisible work

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should, in the context of recognizing the contribution of invisible work and the role of parents and caregivers in society: (a) reinstate the mandatory long-form census for 2016 and include questions on invisible work in the census; (b) ask Statistics Canada to conduct a comprehensive public consultation on the possibility of expanding on questions regarding invisible work in subsequent censuses; and (c) take measures to advance the equality of women who do invisible work and improve their economic security.
