M-72 Independent commission of inquiry on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police activities

Motion Text

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should immediately establish an independent commission of inquiry to review all activities of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, to consider the force’s history, including workplace and sexual harassment, systemic racism, use of force, and role in contract policing, and to make recommendations for the future of the force, including with respect to its mandate, structure, culture, and governance.
